Hands-On Workshops

"Thank you Kentucky Art and Craft Foundation for combining excellence in fine craft with excellence in education.  This community has reason to be proud of your work."-Fran Dolbeare, Fine Arts Chair, River Valley Middle School

Every year, the Kentucky Art and Craft Foundation offers 20-24 Hands-On workshops to the public.  These workshops are usually connected thematically with the exhibits being shown in the KACF gallery, and have covered projects like ceramics, basket making, stained glass mosaics, woodcarving, faux decorating, felting, weaving, quilting, kinetic junk art, and instrument making.

Additionally, these work shops are:

-Taught by professional Kentucky craftspeople and artists

-Helpful to art teachers for learning new skills

-Low cost

Open to ages 12 and up
